Finding magical spots hidden in Auckland’s many parks where I can photograph faeries has become a family affair. I’ve lived in forests, mountains, and coastlines for most of my adult life. Those wild and beautiful places were always right on my doorstep, so I never had to go far to photograph my work. Auckland is an amazingly green city, but it takes a little more effort to find those places. We’re lucky to live near two sprawling parks.
Edmund has also become camera obsessed recently, which makes photographing with him in tow an interesting challenge at times. I try to stop and slow down and let him take photos alongside me.
