This is the largest piece I've made to date, standing 16" high.
It will also be the last hare I make for some time. Although very near and dear to my heart, my sketch book has some new creatures that I am excited to begin work on.
The Hare is entirely needle felted from 100% wool roving and has a wire armature. His saddle is made from an antique tatted lace doily and wool felt.
The Holly Faerie is hand stitched from natural fibres (with the exception of her wings). She is wearing a dress and bloomers made from antique cotton hankies. Her coat is nuno felted. On her back she carries a satchel with a holly branch. Her tiny features are hand embroidered.
