Daphne is a Spring fairy, she comes with the first thaw to waken the garden from it’s long winter sleep and welcome back the bees and ladybugs. Her job is a big one. Last year’s seeds are waiting dormant in their cool earthen bed for a faerie’s sweet song to send the first tender shoots spiralling skyward. At the end of a long day’s work you will almost always find her sitting beneath a toadstool lost in her favourite book.
