Matilda and Moth spent a sleepy afternoon whispering sunlit secrets beneath the old oak in the garden, watching the light playing amongst emerald leaves. This is an unfamiliar world to them, being creatures of moonlight and magic, and they’re quite content to just daydream the afternoon away.
Matilda & Moth will be in my shop this evening at 8PM (ADT), they're one of a kind, natural fibre art dolls and are entirely hand stitched and needle felted with the exception of the veins in their wings. Matilda is dressed in a raggedy dress of hand painted silk, her cap is made from an antique cotton hankie. Her hair is made from mohair locks, and her tiny features are hand embroidered. Moth is needle felted from wool & silk. Both have wire armatures and are attached to their toadstool garden (made from wool felt, with embroidered toadstool tops.)
