Toadstool Faerie

Mahone Bay, Canada

June 22 - 24

The Details

When: June 22-24, 2018 | Friday 2 - 6PM, Saturday & Sunday 10 - 6PM

Where: Salt Spring Island, BC, Canada.

The workshop will be held in a beautiful old east coast house, above the lovely Biscuit Eater cafe (you'll have a chance to soak in some of its character during our afternoon tea break on Sunday!). It's located right in the centre of Mahone Bay, easily accessible from Lunenburg & Bridgewater. Please Contact me if you would like additional travel or accommodation information.

What: You will be making a 5-6 inch natural fibre art doll on a needle felted toadstool..

For Who: This workshop is for those who have prior hand-sewing & needle felting experience. It is not a Beginner course and requires comfort with very tiny hand-stitches.

Cost: $350 USD ($446 CAD)

• All tools and materials.

• Lunch on Saturday & Sunday.

• Evening meal on Saturday.

• Tea & snacks on all three days, including a lovely afternoon break for tea & cake at the Biscuit Eater on Sunday.
• An in-depth PDF tutorial covering everything I will be teaching in class.

***Please be aware that you are not allowed to use this doll pattern to sell from. Doll making is a wonderful art form and this workshop is all about building skills and learning techniques to help you discover your own creative style. The techniques you will be learning are versatile and can be applied in all sorts of ways!

This is a 3-day intensive workshop. The first day will be introductions, making your doll armature, getting familiar with the stitches you will use, and starting to sew. The second day you will be completing your doll and working on clothing. This is a full day of hand sewing, so it's important that you are comfortable in this medium (there may be some homework for those who want to take home a finished & dressed doll!). The third day you will be needle felting a toadstool in a patch of moss..

Cancellation Policy: The worksop is non-refundable unless your place can be filled by someone else.
