Ásta is a one of a kind art doll. She is entirely hand stitched from natural fibres with the exception of her wings. Her dress is made from a vintage hankie and silk gauze. She's wearing a nuno felted jacket. Her little satchel is full of winter bracken from Nova Scotia, and acorns from the old oak that was behind the farmhouse we stayed in the rolling hills of Herefordshire, England.
She is perched on a snow covered toadstool, that's needle felted over a wire armature.
This piece stands 13" high. Ásta is sewn to the toadstool.
